A local check answers the same question once per location that matters to the business, because — as covered in a city is not a location — results genuinely differ block to block within the same metro area, not just city to city. Why you can’t collapse the ten checks into one

There’s no shortcut that fetches once and derives ten answers, because the underlying data genuinely differs at each point. The provider has to actually query from each simulated location to get an honest answer for each one.

- When trimming a local plan’s cost, cut low-value locations before cutting keywords, since keywords aren’t what’s driving the per-check total.
- Ask a vendor exactly how many simulated points are checked per keyword — “national plus local” plans sometimes check fewer points than the pitch implies.
- If two vendors quote very different prices for the same location count, ask what each one means by a location — a zip-code-level simulation and an exact-address one are not the same underlying fetch.
